Please ensure that you protect your nose with dressings and the protectors provided. Your surgeon will inform you of the timeline for their removal. You will not be permitted to drive for a few days after the surgery. You should be able to return to work after 1-2 weeks.

FAQ

Will there be any scars after the operation?

The incisions made for rhinoplasty surgery are small and do not leave a noticeable scar after healing. In closed rhinoplasty, the incisions remain in the nose and therefore no scars are seen. In open surgery, there may be very little scarring at the base of the nose.

How can I clean my nose?

Blowing your nose is strictly prohibited for the first week. From the second week onwards, you can clean your nose by rinsing it with saline. You can blow your nose gently during this period.

When can I start my exercises after the operation?

You can start non-heavy exercises 3 weeks after the operation.

Is there an age limit for rhinoplasty surgery?

Rhinoplasty is not recommended for patients whose body development is not yet complete. It can be said that patients should be over 15 years of age and may be suitable for rhinoplasty with the approval of their doctor and parents.  

Will my nose run more after the operation?

Your nose will run more for the first 2 weeks after the operation, which is normal. In the following periods, your runny nose will return to normal.

Can I go home the same day when the operation is finished?

You can go home with a companion, not alone, after the operation. To do this, you must first be under observation for a few hours and get approval from the doctor. However, it is better to spend the first day in the hospital according to the doctor’s advice.

When can I breathe comfortably?

You can breathe comfortably thanks to the thin silicone layer inside your nose. The better you are, the easier it will be to breathe.

When are the stitches removed?

Your stitches will be removed 5-10 days after the operation. It dissolves itself.

Will I feel pain after the operation?

You will feel some pain after the operation, and these pains will last for a few days. You can get rid of these pains by using the painkillers provided by your doctor.
