Daily Plan

  • Day 1:
    • Arrival in Istanbul and transfer to the hospital.
    • Pre-operative consultation and detailed eye examination with your ophthalmologist.
    • Determination of the glaucoma surgery method (Trabeculectomy, glaucoma drainage implant, etc.).
  • Day 2:
    • Glaucoma surgery.
    • Application of eye patch after surgery.
    • Rest and use of eye drops.
    • Hospitalization is usually not required, you can be discharged the same day.
  • Day 3:
    • Post-operative check-up by your ophthalmologist.
    • Removal of eye patch and measurement of intraocular pressure.
    • Continue using eye drops.
  • Day 4-5:
    • Rest at the hotel.
    • Continue using eye drops.
    • Gradual return to daily activities according to your doctor’s recommendations.
  • Day 6:
    • Return to your country.

Post-Operative Care

  • Use your eye drops regularly.
  • Avoid rubbing and scratching your eyes.
  • Avoid heavy lifting and strenuous activities.
  • Follow your doctor’s instructions and schedule a follow-up appointment with a local ophthalmologist after returning to your country.
